Manly Sea Eagles backrower Andrew Davey has suffered a serious knee injury in the opening minutes of his side’s Saturday afternoon clash against South Sydney.
After just four minutes of game time, Davey had to be helped from the field after falling awkwardly in a twisting tackle at Brookvale Oval.
It was Davey’s first start of the season, due to teammate Curtis Sironen also suffering a knee injury and being ruled out for four to six weeks.
“He’s injured here, he’s done something bad,” NRL great Braith Anasta said. “I think he’s done his knee here.”
