Meena Pandre, who lives in Vajul in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra, has described Geeta as her daughter. Meena told the real name of Geeta Radha Waghmare. Geeta’s father is no longer in this world. The mother has remarried.

Meena Pandre met Geeta on Thursday along with her family. According to Meena, her daughter had a burn target on her stomach. A burn mark has also been found on Geeta’s stomach. However, the DNA test of both has not been done so far. Geeta will be assigned only after completing the test and other legal procedures.

Reached Pakistan at the age of 11, Sushma Swaraj brought to India

Geeta was found at the age of 11-12 at a railway station in Pakistan. He was retained by the Edhi Welfare Trust of Pakistan. On 26 October 2015, Geeta was brought to India from Pakistan on the initiative of the then Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. 

She was then placed in the institution of the deaf and mute in Indore. A search for his family started from here. Geeta cannot speak and is able to hear. She was not even educated. In such a situation, it was difficult to get his information from them.

Geeta mentioned the river and fields in a gesture

Gyan Purohit of Anand Service Society of Indore told that Geeta had come to meet her mother. Geeta had told him in gestures based on his blurred memories of childhood that there was a river near his house and there was sugarcane and groundnut cultivation. 

Along with this, there used to be a train with diesel engine. These details correspond to some places in Marathwada (Aurangabad and its vicinity) area of ​​Maharashtra.

24 couples claimed, but DNA did not match

After Gita was brought to Indore on 26 October 2015, several couples across the country claimed to be Gita’s parents. But nobody’s DNA match. After this, the search for his parents continued till today. 

Currently Geeta is living in Parbhani, Maharashtra. Bilkis Edhi, wife of late Abdul Sattar Edhi, former head of Pakistan’s Edhi Welfare Trust, has also been informed to meet Geeta’s family. He expressed happiness over it.
