Midfielder-forward Sam Powell-Pepper has taken personal leave to deal with his broken hand and “other parts of my life”.

Port Adelaide star Sam Powell-Pepper has been granted personal leave away from the club.

The Power today released a statement announcing the midfielder-forward would be away from the club until at least April.

Powell-Pepper is recovering from a broken hand but told the club he also needed to take time away to address personal issues.

“Along with the rehabilitation of my broken hand, there are other parts of my life that need some work right now,” Powell-Pepper said.

“I appreciate the support of the club, my coaches and teammates with this.”
