Brisbane Broncos star Payne Haas has addressed his attitude to women in a press conference with coach Kevin Walters.

Brisbane Broncos star Payne Haas has spoken at a press conference for the first time since threatening a female police officer in a drunken, foul-mouthed tirade, declaring “I’ve got a lot of love for women”.

The NRL today slapped the 21-year-old with a $50,000 fine and three-game suspension after he pleaded guilty to intimidating police in Tweed Heads last month.

The NRL also issued Haas a breach notice, which demanded that the Origin and Test front-rower undergo an education program and community service.

Haas today addressed his attitude to women in a press conference with coach Kevin Walters.

“My mum’s brought me up in a world around women and I’ve respected them,” Haas said.

“I respect women to this day. It was a mistake I truly regret, I’ve got a lot of love for women, they deserve respect and that’s not how you should be treating women, especially how I handled that.”

The full transcript of Haas’ outburst at police was made public at court last week.

“F**k the ID. I don’t need to give you ID,” Haas said.

“You got a badge on you and you think you’re a f**king tough c**t. You put my family in jail you c**ts.

“Don’t come near me bro, I’ll f**king jab ya, on my mother’s life I will.”

“Get the f**k out of here bro, get the f**k out of my face or I’ll take all of you on myself you f**kwits.”

He then threatened a female police officer.

“Why you looking at me like that?” Haas said.

“Cause you’re a woman? Cause you’re a woman and you think that I won’t touch ya?”
